Analilia Mejia holds a robust academic background, having earned degrees in comparative literature, public policy, and labor relations and education from Rutgers University. Professionally, she has accumulated extensive experience in labor organizing and political strategy, including roles with the United Food and Commercial Workers, SEIU Local 32BJ, and UNITE HERE. Mejia has also held significant positions in political campaigns and labor advocacy organizations, such as serving as the Latino/Labor Vote Director for Bob Menendez's Senate campaign and the executive director of the New Jersey Working Families Alliance. She has further demonstrated leadership in national political campaigns, serving as the national political director for Bernie Sanders' 2020 presidential campaign. Additionally, Mejia has experience in the public sector, having served as the deputy director of the United States Women's Bureau at the U.S. Department of Labor.
