Clyde Welford holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary and Secondary Education, both from Grand Valley State University. He began his career in education as a middle school teacher and later earned a scholarship for journalism. Welford spent 35 years in teaching, during which he also served as a Trustee for the Village of Baldwin. After retiring, he pursued a political career, running for Lake County Road Commissioner and eventually being elected County Commissioner in District-7.
