U.S.A.
David Giralt was born to parents who fled communist Cuba and Costa Rica, later settling in Wyoming post-Hurricane Andrew. Graduating from Kelly Walsh High School, he earned scholarships for soccer and ROTC, attending Colorado Christian University. Giralt served nearly a decade in the U.S. Army, including wartime deployment, earning a Bronze Star Medal and leading a company in the 82nd Airborne Division. After his military career, Giralt returned to Wyoming, where he now seeks to honor his parents' sacrifices by running for Congress.
David Giralt's political identity is shaped by a unique blend of traditional values and forward-thinking policy proposals. He champions Wyoming's energy sector, advocating for both traditional sources and cutting-edge technologies, while fiercely opposing federal overreach. Giralt's stance on border security is uncompromising, aligning with stringent measures that reflect his military background. His support for Second Amendment rights is equally robust, opposing federal gun control measures. Giralt's ideological agility is evident in his backing of President Trump's agenda while simultaneously advocating for targeted reforms in veterans' services and public lands management. His approach reveals a strategic tension between honoring past sacrifices and pushing for innovative, localized solutions.
