David Levy holds a law degree from Hofstra University and has a background in both legal and executive roles. He spent several years in the news department of various radio stations before serving on the Hempstead Town Council. Levy transitioned from utility company executive to a congressional representative, where he succeeded Norman F. Lent. After his tenure in Congress, he served as counsel to the town supervisor of Hempstead for over two decades.
