Matt Pierce holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and political science, followed by a law degree, both from Indiana University. He began his career in public service as a legislative assistant and policy analyst for the Indiana General Assembly. Pierce has held various leadership roles, including serving on the Bloomington City Council and as chief of staff for a Congressman. He has been representing the 61st District in the Indiana House of Representatives since 2002, where he has focused on telecommunications, energy, and regulatory policies. Currently, Pierce is also a Senior Lecturer at Indiana University-Bloomington’s Media School.
