Kennedy School of Government. She began her career in public service as a District Director for a California State Assembly member and later directed the California Voter Project. Cervantes has held various leadership roles, including Chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus and Vice Chair of the California Legislative LGBTQ Caucus. She has also chaired the Senate Committee on Elections and Constitutional Amendments and the Senate Appropriations Committee. Her professional experience spans both the public and private sectors, where she has focused on enhancing local economies, education access, and governmental services.
